Paint & Body Technician
National Indoor RV Centers is experiencing exceptional growth, and we are seeking experienced Paint & Body Technicians to join our team! The RV Paint & Body Technician is responsible for repairing, restoring, and repainting damaged RVs. They must have knowledge of different types of body construction and be skilled in using various tools and materials to repair and restore vehicles to their original condition.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect damaged RVs and assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Repair RV body damage using various tools and materials such as hammers, grinders, and welding equipment.
  • Replace or repair damaged RV parts such as windows, doors, and trim.
  • Roof Repair and Replacement (Rubber, Tpo, and Fiberglass roof).
  • Matching paint by eye - knowing how to formulate colors.
  • Sand, prime, and paint repaired areas to match the rest of the RV's finish.
  • Removal and installation of ceramic tiles.
  • Removal and installation of plumbing fixtures and pipes when needed for repair.
  • Removal and rebuilding of interior cabinets when needed for repairs.
  • Remodeling of certain interiors such as bathrooms, living rooms, bedrooms etc., if needed.
  • Removal of A/C units as well as any other part such as solar panels, and antennas.
  • Test repaired systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Maintain and clean tools and equipment.
  • Maintain other duties as assigned or requested.
 
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in RV or automotive body repair preferred.
  • Knowledge of different types of RV body construction.
  • Must understand how to work with Aluminum.
  • Welding (Tig, Mig, Steel, Aluminum, Plastic Welds).
  • Have a full understanding of composite material, fiberglass, and some carbon
  • Experience and understanding of gel coat, repair and paint.
  • Experience and understanding of plastic repair.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of how to make a fiberglass mold.
  • Electrical (AC/DC), Plumbing, HVAC skills preferred.
  • Skilled in using various tools and materials such as hammers, grinders, and welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of paint mixing and matching techniques.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work. 
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
 
Working Conditions:
  • Work is primarily conducted on-site at the service shop
  • May require extended periods of standing, walking, and bending
  • May require lifting or moving heavy equipment or objects
  • May require working in tight spaces or at heights
  • May require exposure to loud noises, fumes, or chemicals
  • May require working weekends or holidays
